At the meeting, the "Changsha China Construction Machinery Index" was released, aiming to present the development status and future trend of the construction machinery industry through comprehensive data analysis, and provide a scientific basis for government decision-making and enterprise development.

"'Changsha China Construction Machinery Index' is the first series of industrial indexes in China focusing on the price of construction machinery products, industrial development, scientific and technological innovation trends, market influence, and industry prosperity." The project is under the guidance of Changsha Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, accompanied by Changsha Construction Machinery Industry Association, Hangzhou Shuliang Technology Co., Ltd. and Sany, Zoomlion, Sunward, Railway Construction, Xingbang and many upstream and downstream supporting enterprises, to create a benchmark project for the new quality development of Changsha construction machinery industry.

The index released this time is the index for the third quarter of 2024, and the details are as follows:

The purchase price index was 93.34 points, a year-on-year decrease of 3.19%, indicating that enterprises are still facing certain cost adjustment pressure in the current market environment.

The industrial development index closed at 98.82 points, a year-on-year increase of 11.22%. It shows that the construction machinery industry is in a downward cycle due to the decline in the start of projects in the fields of infrastructure and real estate.

The science and technology innovation index was 113.11 points, an increase of 5.87% month-on-month. From the perspective of subdivision modules, in the third quarter, the innovation achievement index of the science and technology talent index increased by 22.93% and 2.44% year-on-year respectively. At present, Changsha Construction Machinery Industry Cluster has more than 20 national innovation platforms and more than 100 provincial innovation platforms. In the downturn of the industry, Changsha's construction machinery industry focuses on innovation, and provides a strong guarantee for high-quality development by developing and forging new quality productivity.

The market influence index was 87.40 points, a year-on-year increase of 7.81%. The industrial scale of Changsha construction machinery cluster has ranked first in the country for 14 consecutive years, and the average annual compound growth rate of overseas revenue of key enterprises in the cluster has reached 50% in the past three years. The industrial prosperity index was 108.43 points, 8.43 percentage points higher than the boom and wither line, running in the boom range. Its subordinate indicators, the confidence evaluation index and the business conditions index, were 124.60 points and 91.60 points respectively in the third quarter. With the recovery of the industry, construction machinery enterprises have shown high expectations for the development confidence and future prosperity of the industry.
