In order to enhance the overseas intellectual property protection capabilities of enterprises and help them "go global", a special research meeting on overseas intellectual property protection in the construction machinery industry was held at the association on March 14. Wu Hongliang, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Changsha Intellectual Property Office, attended the meeting. Representatives from nearly 20 companies including Sany Group, Zoomlion, China Railway Construction Heavy Industry, Shanhe Intelligent, and Xingbang Intelligent attended the meeting to conduct in-depth discussions on the difficulties of overseas intellectual property layout, risk prevention, and rights protection strategies.

      The conference focused on the actual demands of enterprises for overseas intellectual property protection. Currently, overseas intellectual property protection faces multiple challenges. On the one hand, the policies and regulations in emerging markets such as Russia and Southeast Asia are complex and changeable, the quality of agencies varies, and it is difficult to obtain data in small languages; on the other hand, the high cost of PCT applications has caused some companies to postpone the layout of overseas intellectual property. At the same time, the shortage of professional talents and the imperfect service system have also restricted the ability of enterprises to protect their rights. In addition, the lack of understanding of international trade rules and the potential infringement risks in the field of intelligent technology have also become hidden worries for the overseas development of enterprises.

      In response to the pain points of enterprises, experts such as Su Xin, head of the Changsha workstation of the Hubei Center for Patent Examination Cooperation of the State Intellectual Property Office, put forward professional suggestions on data intellectual property management, risk prevention for exhibitions, and basic patent layout. They emphasized the need to establish a "patent pool", strengthen international cooperation, and jointly promote corporate overseas intellectual property protection.

      Wu Hongliang pointed out that it is necessary to strengthen overseas intellectual property protection through policy optimization, financial support, platform construction and other measures to support the overseas development of enterprises, including rewarding and funding PCT authorized enterprises, organizing enterprises to conduct intellectual property analysis by category and field, and sharing resources and experience.

      This conference laid the foundation for building an overseas intellectual property protection system of "government guidance + association coordination + enterprise linkage". The association will further strengthen collaboration, integrate resources, and coordinate with government departments, enterprises, etc. to further strengthen overseas intellectual property protection and help Changsha's engineering machinery industry participate in global competition.
