On January 10, being hosted by the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and co-organized by Changsha Construction Machinery Association, the advanced manufacturing cluster competition project was signed and the Changsha Construction Machinery Industry Standardization Committee Founding Conference was held at the Days Hotel & Suites Changsha Binjiang. The event was hosted by Wu Hongliang, deputy director of the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, and Ma Tianyi, deputy director-general of Industry and Information Technology Department of Hunan Province, Tang Yong, director of Equipment Department, Chen Jun, director of Industrial Promotion Office attended the event.

The 34 cluster competition projects signed this time include key technology projects led by top 50 companies of global construction machinery manufacturers such as Sany and Zoomlion, as well as core component R & D projects led by small and medium-sized enterprises such as CHNTEK and Farsoon Technologies, as well as industrial Internet projects undertaken by service platform companies such as "Jixie Zhijia". This time, the construction of cluster projects is an important measure to implement the "focus on promoting high-quality development, create a batch of internationally competitive advanced manufacturing clusters, and upgrade the industrial basic capabilities and industrial chain modernization level" in the 2020 Central Economic Working Conference, a great help to implement “promote high-quality development and build construction machinery into a world-class advanced manufacturing cluster" in the 2020 government work report of the Changsha Municipal People's Government, which will effectively promote the Changsha construction machinery industry cluster to further cultivate high-end host products and push core components development so as to better participate in the final of the national advanced manufacturing cluster.

In order to lead the formulation of industry standards and enhance the right to speak and influence in the field of international standards, the conference also witnessed the establishment of the Changsha Construction Machinery Industry Standardization Committee, hiring 13 people including Tian Ya as members of the expert committee, and Ma Tianyi, deputy director-general of Industry and Information Technology Department of Hunan Province issued the letter of appointment to 13 standard experts.

Wu Jingsheng, secretary general of the Changsha Construction Machinery Association, said that in recent years, provincial and municipal government have attached great importance to the development of the construction machinery industry and vigorously support it to build a world-class industrial cluster. At the same time, the Changsha Construction Machinery Industrial Cluster actively embraces the wave of digitalization, networking and intelligence, develops in a group, and continuously strengthens the industrial chain and realizes a gorgeous change. At present, Changsha has become the region with the most complete variety of construction machinery industry in the world and the largest number of well-known enterprises. Changsha’s reputation of "Capital of Construction Machinery" is quite famous. The scale of the construction machinery industry cluster reached RMB 200 billion in 2019. The signing of 34 projects and the establishment of the Standardization Committee marked the key step for Changsha to build a world-class construction machinery industry cluster. This year, it will actively expand the world influence and reputation of Changsha's construction machinery industry cluster, focusing on key projects such as construction machinery parts supporting industrial park, mold industrial park, and overseas exhibition of CICEE.
